RIDES:

1 - Búzios (Beach, Surf, Diving)
Three hours by bus
Búzios and the Lakes Region are the most requested destinations by natives and tourists in the summer. With over 23 beaches, Búzios is, without a doubt, the highlight of this region, full of attractions for those visiting Rio de Janeiro.
Arraial do Cabo is another great option: a little smaller, with crystal-clear water, perfect for diving.

2 - Ilha Grande (Nature, Surf, Diving, Walking)
Two hours by bus and 40 minutes by boat.
Follow the beautiful path of the islands and visit the largest of them: Ilha Grande. Heavenly beaches and boat-only access makes it a no-car island. Conections by Angra or Mangaratiba.

3 - Parati (City from the 19th century, boat rides)
Three hours by bus.
The greatest example of a colonial city in Rio de Janeiro. Beautiful studios, bars, gold mines and the coffee harbor.

4 - Petrópolis (Imperial City and Museums)
One hour by bus.
The Imperial city chosen by D. Pedro II for spending the summer with his family. Visit the historical center on foot, Santos Dumont´s house and the Imperial Museum.

5 - Mauá (Mountains, Rafting, Waterfalls)
Four hours by bus.
Mountainous region, with waterfalls, between Rio and São Paulo. Visit Penedo, right next to Mauá and with great restaurants.

6 - Saquarema (City of Surf)
Two hours by bus.
Well-known hippie city from the 70´s, it´s the brazilian capital of Surf!
